At Purestay, we are committed to creating a respectful, inclusive, and welcoming experience for all guests and hosts. Our platform exists to connect people through healthier, more intentional travel experiences, and that begins with fairness, dignity, and equal treatment.
Discrimination has no place on Purestay.
1. Our Commitment
Hosts and guests using Purestay must treat all individuals with respect and without discrimination based on protected characteristics including, but not limited to:
- Race
- Color
- Ethnicity
- National origin
- Religion
- Age
- Disability
- Medical condition
- Pregnancy
- Marital status
- Veteran status
- Sex
- Gender identity
- Gender expression
- Sexual orientation
- Familial status
- Immigration status where protected by law
- Any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state, or local law
This policy applies to all use of the platform, including:
- Listing approval
- Booking requests
- Reservation acceptance or denial
- Guest communication
- House rules
- Property access
- Cancellation decisions
- Reviews and feedback
- Customer support interactions
2. Hosts May Not
Hosts may not:
- Decline a guest based on a protected characteristic
- Impose different terms, pricing, or rules based on protected characteristics
- Use language in listings that discourages or excludes protected groups
- Refuse reasonable accommodations where legally required
- Harass, intimidate, or retaliate against guests
- Cancel reservations for discriminatory reasons
- Create selective access policies that violate fair housing or hospitality laws
Hosts may maintain legitimate safety, occupancy, and property-use standards, but those standards must apply fairly and consistently to all guests.
3. Guests May Not
Guests may not:
- Request discriminatory treatment from hosts
- Refuse to stay with or interact with a host based on protected characteristics
- Harass, threaten, or intimidate hosts
- Violate house rules under discriminatory pretense
- Use discriminatory language in messages, reviews, or platform interactions
4. Accessibility and Reasonable Accommodation
Purestay supports accessibility and reasonable accommodations where required by law.
Hosts must comply with applicable laws regarding accessibility and accommodation requests and may not deny a guest based on disability status where legal protections apply.
Transparency regarding accessibility features is strongly encouraged.
5. Reporting Violations
If a host or guest believes discrimination has occurred, they should report it immediately by contacting:

- Listing information
- Relevant screenshots or communication
- Description of the issue
All reports are reviewed seriously and confidentially where appropriate.
6. Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in:
- Listing suspension
- Booking cancellation
- Refund review
- Account restrictions
- Permanent removal from the platform
- Additional review by Purestay's trust and safety team
Repeated host cancellations connected to discriminatory behavior may result in immediate removal.
7. Compliance with Local Laws
Hosts are responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal laws related to short-term rentals, hospitality operations, and anti-discrimination protections.
This policy does not replace legal obligations and may exceed minimum legal requirements in order to protect trust and platform integrity.

We believe healthier homes should also be more welcoming homes.
Respect, transparency, and fairness are foundational to every stay.
